Dean Bowditch sent fans home reliving a stunning goal for the second week running as Town's reserves beat Charlton 2-1 at Portman Road. After a goalless first half Alun Armstrong scored from the spot before Bowditch added a second with Charlton coming back late on through sub Barry Fuller.

Thursday night saw the inaugural meeting of the Ipswich Town Supporters Trust which immediately followed David Sheepshanks passionate plea for fans to back him. The Trust meeting was attended by around 500 supporters.

Town chairman David Sheepshanks last night announced a three-pronged financial plan to bring money into the club. Sheepshanks was appearing at a public meeting prior a gathering which instigated the formation of a Town Supporters Trust.

Town will rue the failure to take several first half chances and a second half missed Darren Bent penalty as Brighton took a point back to Sussex. The Blues went ahead in the first half through Marcus Bent but Brighton improved after the break and Tony Rougier scored twice before Martijn Reuser put Town back on terms.
